Exercise your Word skills!

On-Core Wordfind is a classic letter grid in which you try to find words hidden amongst the letters. Select words horizontally, vertically, diagonally, forwards or backwards.

On-Core Wordfind features:
- Three difficulty levels: Easy, Medium and Hard.
- Each difficulty level has its own timer, so you can try to beat your best time at each level.
- The game auto-saves so that you can return to it at any time.
- Games are generated randomly so you will never play the same game twice.
- Increase your vocabulary. If you have an internet connection, you can lookup the words and their definitions. (Please note that an internet connection is not required to play the game.)

NOTE: This game is also included in our "Game Pack Vol 1". If you like Sudoku and PictureFlip, you may want to purchase our Game Pack so all three games are in one program.

Pros and cons of On-Core Wordfind app for iPhone and iPad

On-Core Wordfind app good for

I have been looking for this for long time, I loved it, as soon I finish dowloaded, I just started playing, its very good for your mind.
I Like A Good Word Search Game, and This One Will Keep You Entertained. It Loads Quick, and Has Real Words Not Just "CAT", "DOG", etc... I Like The View Solution Option. Good Job!
I like the challenge of a good word find. Whether its from one of those word find books from the supermarket, or playing on the kids menu at Chilis, its a good quick distraction. Now the iPhone/iPod has the same opportunity in portable form that I can take anywhere! Its great in that sense, but it just seems like it tries too hard to hide the words. Most of the boards I have played seem to want to put 75% of the words backwards for the challenge. This is fine and I like the challenge, but it gets somewhat old and repetitive when you start looking for words like this constantly and dont really bother looking for words from left to right or up and down. I played a board where all but one words were dones this way. Still, the interface is fluid and straightforward allowing you to drag out your selection. My only quibble is that the board gets pretty full when you get to the last few words because more than half of it is highlighted in green. The library of words seems pretty vast and will most likely last a very long time, which is good. There are 3 levels of difficulty, with each level adding more and more letters to the board. The actual words you have to find dont seem to be diffent, so dont expect to find simple words like CAT or DOG on easy, its just that the board is smaller. It would have been nice for the younger audience if Easy allowed for more common words as opposed to words like "FYTTES", "ZOONS" or "SOLONS"... I kid you not, Ive got the game up right now for this review and those are 3 of my words on the Easy board. Overall, its worthy purchase for the price. If you are a fan of word searches like this, consider this a great buy and a good time killer. The gripes I have might be more personal, but I felt they were worthy of mention. 4 Stars still since I do enjoy it.
This is a great app, but I havent heard of most of the words I have to search for! There should be more words a 15 year old might know. Nothing like DOG though, please! But the words kinda make it a little more boring because youve pretty much never heard of any of them, but still a great game.
This word find uses many uncommon words, so its a good vocabulary builder. Seems to be a little better at interleaving the hidden words than some other computer generated wordfind puzzles Ive seen. 3 levels of difficulty. The "Hard" level could be challenging in a different way if you have large fingers - the letters are quite close together.
This is one of my favorite games to play on the subway. You never get the same grid twice, the vocabulary is extensive, and the option to look up the words definitions is wonderful. I do have a couple suggestions though. 1. When you select "View Solutions," you have to go back to the menu and un-select it to continue the game. You should be able to select over the highlighted words to finish the game. That would be especially helpful if you just have one word left to find and dont want to have to go back to the menu, de-select the solution and then finish the game. 2. Have an "Expert" level with longer, harder words and a bigger grid. I realize that this can be difficult with the limited screen sizes of the iPod/iPhone, so being able to zoom in on the whole puzzle (not just 9 letters) and scroll up and down would be good for an "Expert" level. Overall, its a wonderful wordfind and I think its one of the best apps I have bought for my iPod Touch. I especially like having the clock at the top. Most games and apps cover that completely and closing something just to check the time can be a pain. Totally worth the money.

Some bad moments

The word search game has profanity in it! In fact, my review cant be published if I put the words in here that are in this game. Here are a couple of examples of inappropriate words in the game, that I think will get through the review checker: Cokehead. Websters definition: a person who uses cocaine compulsively. Satism: Websters definition: a sexual perversion in which gratification is obtained by the infliction of physical or mental pain on others (as on a love object). Explain that to your child. Besides it is broken, but Im too offended by the content and irresponsible ratings done by On-Core to tell you about it. This is a VERY UGLY joke from On-Core. ON-CORE ... YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!!!
